I just returned from playing Alhaurin Golf and Country Club in Malaga, Spain last week. It's a stunning design with tight, tight fairways.
I suggest playing the course with someone who has played there before, as many holes have blind drives. Alhaurin is an excellent test, but I never lost a ball despite being advised to expect to lose half a dozen. The greens putted amazingly well, but were extremely difficult to read. I would highly recommend Alhaurin, but only to the better players.
