Pwllheli Golf Club in North Wales
Pwllheli Golf Club is an historic club in Wales' north region that was originally founded in 1900. The golf course was originally a nine-hole, links-style course laid out by Old Tom Morris. In 1909 James Braid added nine parkland holes. The course is a par 69 and has no par 5s, which makes shooting under par pretty difficult. The course plays just over 6,100 yards from the championship tees.
There are several sea views on the links-style back nine, most notably from the 11th tee box, where you can sea Cardigan Bay and Snowdonia. Pwllheli Golf Club claims their clubhouse is closer to the sea than any other clubhouse in the United Kingdom, and a balcony affords for a marvelous 19th hole.
