Porthmadog Golf Club in North Wales
Porthmadog Golf Club in north Wales is a historic golf course over 100 years old, established in 1905.
The golf course features two very distinct styles. The front nine plays on parkland ground, while the 10th hole begins a stretch of holes that are as good of links terrain as you'll find. The course climaxes on the 12th, a par 4 that plays over beach to an elevated green. This hole has changed greatly over the last 100 years as a result of coastal erosion, and pictures of the hole's original form can be found among many artifacts in the clubhouse.
Porthmadog Golf Club is a good second-tier option for those players visiting links gems like Royal St. David's, Nefyn & District and Conwy Golf Club. Also, be sure to check out nearby Portmerion, a resort village that's truly out of this world.
