Edinburgh, Scotland off course - Travel Photo (Brandon Tucker/GolfPublisher.com) |
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and the most lively city center for tourists both in the day and night. The main attraction is the Royal Mile, which starts at the Queen's Gallery at the foot, then crawls to the top of the hill ending at the dominating 12th century Edinburgh Castle.
Across North Bridge lies the city's other highest point, the eerie Calton Hill. Originally a grave disappointment for the town, Calton Hill is now an unfinished park with Greek buildings and plenty of green space.
There are plenty of cathedrals and enough interesting architecture to keep you busy for a day off the golf course in Edinburgh, and don't forget the countless pubs that feature a lively atmosphere and live music.
