North Berwick Golf Club in East Lothian, Scotland: Home to the legendary West Links

EAST LOTHIAN, Scotland -- North Berwick Golf Club is home to the legendary West Links, a true and traditional 18-hole championship links that begins in the heart of town and stretches out along the sea in a nine-out, nine-in routing. The golf club officially dates back to 1832.

The design is unique. One of the most copied holes in the world is the famous par-3 15th, "Redan," for its blind green with a front-right to back-left slope. No. 13, "Pit," also features a unique approach shot to a green just beyond a rock wall and tucked between dunes.

The golf course begins and ends in town with side-by-side first and 18th holes, which share a fairway much like St. Andrews. Playing just under 6,500 yards from the championship tees, the West Links has hosted some of the area's top events, including Open Championship qualifiers.
