Played here a couple of Sundays ago. We teed-off at around 10.00 and there could only have been around 8-10 other people on the course. Have played here a number of times and have always found it to be in great condition with first-rate greens. (no difference this time!). Staff were very friendly and helpful. If you are in the area - give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

Wimeraux is unusal for this part of France in that it is a typical links course. Indeed, if it were not for the faint whiff of garlic, you might imagine you were on the East coast of Scotland. Like most links courses it is treeless which gives the initial impression that it is quite open. It is not. Most fairways are narrow and the rough is penal. If your drive goes into the long stuff, reload. You will not find it. I have played here five time now and it is always windy with the toughest holes into the prevailing Westerlies. I have always found the course in excellent condition and the staff in the small clubhouse welcoming (In France? Maybe I am in Scotland after all.). If you enjoy links golf this course is highly recommended.

Despite an antiquated club house and fairways which had barely a blade of grass on due to drought we still had a fun day at Wimereux. We could see the White Cliffs of Dover from some holes and the greens were all in good nick. A tough couple of opening holes with a long par five and a tough par three, I shot my highest score at Wimereux even though we also played Hardelot Old and Le Touquet La Mer. Try the bottled cider in the club house, it's delicious.
