Penha Longa Golf Club is situated 30 minutes from the Lisbon airport and 10 minutes from Estoril and Cascais. The club boasts 27 holes of golf in natural surroundings with a five-star hotel of 194 rooms and suites. The golf course is situated at the foot of the Sintra hills, and included in the Sintra Cascais natural park. The resort includes a 220-hectare natural reserve. Penha Longa Golf Club's Atlantic course has been rated 32nd best course in continental Europe by the U.K. magazine Golf World. The U.S Golf Magazine ranked Penha Longa's signature sixth hole among the world's 500 best golf holes.

| The Atlantic, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was inaugurated in 1992. This 18 holes, par 72 championship course of 6.290m is very well integrated in the landscape. It offers a challenge to all golfers, as well as breathtaking views of the ocean with Estoril and Cascais in the foreground, but also of the Sintra Hills. | The Monastery opened in 1995,was also designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., is a 9 holes, par 35 course of 2.588m. Open in 1995, spreads around the historical part of the Resort.
