The Golfclub Cromstrijen was erected in February 1989 and was designed by the Irish designer/architect Tom MacAuley. The whole course exists outof 27 holes of which the 9-holes course is a public course while the 18 hole course is for members and guests. Also greenfeeplayers (Hcp Gents 28, Ladies 34) are welcome to enjoy the course that was taken in use by H.R.H Prince Johan Friso on August, 31 1991. The former polder is now a complete and interesting matured golfcourse with a lot of waterhazards. Part of the course is recently renewed and the holes 12 - 16 are now in a better perspective. On the course are now some 120 species of birds of which a lot there were none before the start of the course.
Because of the environmental management also some uncommonly wild Orchids florish here.
Both courses (18 and 9) have their own clubhouse with catering. A drivingrange and practicegreens complete the premesis.
