Golf planning

Hi the issue for me is the fact that the booking of tee times needs looking at to many consecutive 4 ball and 3 ball one after the other instead of placing 1 or 2 ball in there and rejecting the tee time asked for as it just slows the whole course down to a stand still.

Lovely course

Played at Whitburn a few times and always looked over the wall and thought we should play there. I wasn't disappointed, course is in great condition and the greens were lightening fast for this time of the year. Bit windy but you can't control the weather all in all had a great time on a lovely course and would love to come back.

First time playing south shields and it didn't disappoint. Course conditions were very good. The wind was wild but didn't dishearten. A nice atmosphere in the clubhouse, and a lovely pint of Guinness to finish off the round. Looking forward to returning for another round.

South Tyneside Golf Club

Some challenges and varied course. Fast greens and fairly wide fairways. A few ‘dog legs’. Very friendly members. Excellent value for money.

Excellent course shame about the 4 ball in front

First off excellent course greens are in great nick, some really nice holes in there. Shame about the 4 ball in front who refused to let anyone play through when there taking 20 mins a hole looking for balls for 5 mins and do not offer either the 2 ball in front or me as a one ball to play through, golf is rapidly losing its etiquette these days. Nothing to do with the course though course was excellent and will definitely return 👍

Amazing views

Beautiful setting, sea views from Whitley Bay to Hartlepool! The course was well maintained. Bunkers were tricky being steep and fairly dense. Weather was lovely but as it's exposed I'm sure the wind normally blows which would transform the challenge. Open fairways and nice undulation lead to good scoring. Clubhouse is very nice with a better than expected menu. Will definitely go again

Good Condition considering all the rain.

Course was dry as a boot, where most others are waterlogged. All greens on and getting there. Bunkers were GUR was the only downside

Good day

After being a member a few years ago, just fancied the game back at my old club and did not disappoint. The fairways was very good and the greens was excellent.

Great course in superb condition

Most other local courses were either closed or had restrictions. Based on reputation, I decided to try South Shields and was amazed, as most other first-timers would be, at how playable it was. Simply the best winter course for miles around and a good one in general. I will definitely be back in winter to sample 'summer golf' conditions. Score 82, Handicap 15.

South Shields

Course was in good condition for the time of year. I thought £27 each was a bit excessive for playing on winter tee boxes.

Thanks for taking the time to provide us a rating but we don't have winter tee boxes. We do have the flexibility to move the tee position to another box to provide golfers with variety when playing the course and its always off grass (we don't use mats).
