Nice place
Greens and fairways in poor condition.some of the holes are like playing them twice as they shared greens and t off areas. Nice country setting and lake though
Members course
Serlby park is a very well kept course, we played on a Sunday morning, we were very lucky to at the start not have anyone in front or behind us, but with how the course is laid out as a 9 hole that plays as an 18 hole layout we soon had people both at the back of us and in front, the greens we played on were a very good standard, unfortunately we played mostly winter green, which was a shame because the course was bone dry. I would play here again but I think you would have to choose you times otherwise play would be very slow, overall course is a very well presented and well kept course especially seeing it in winter conditions
Winter but all summer greens
Commendation to the club and greenkeepers as the fairways and greens were in excellent condition considering we are still in winter. The odd tee mat in use but that can be expected at this time of year. No winter greens were being played so that was a real positive, course was virtually empty and no hold ups in play.
This course is in great condition played it 3 times over past few months always a pleasure to play here less than 30 away from where I live we £32 for Saturdays round most we have paid there and couldn’t understand why it was that much but you don’t mind paying that bit extra to play on a decent course .
Well kept, lovely course
The course is kept in really good condition. I played midweek and course was virtually empty so no queuing. The bunkers had plenty of sand in them as I found out. Not the longest of courses but still an enjoyable 18 holes over the 13 different greens (7 shared but with different tees) Greens were in very good condition and fairways still lush too. Will definitely play here again.
Great little course
Really enjoyed playing Serlby Park for the first time
Idyllic gem
This is the most picturesque course in the area with fairways lined with trees and beautiful true greens.
SERLBY REVIEW
Staff very polite and helpful.
Course condition was reasonable but very quirky. It's a 9 hole course that's been extended to 18 but quite a lot of duplication of holes and fairways .
Bunkers lacking sand in.parts .
Personally I think a 27 pound green fee is on the high side .
Didn't spoil our day but won't rush back .
Could be better
Played for the first time. Greens were too hard and in need of watering, bunkers looked like they need some attention too. Pace of play was good with some interesting holes but not much variation with the duel tee boxes. Course setting is really nice and can see that the course could be a real gem with some tlc. Bar staff very helpful and friendly as we're some of the members.
Excellent
First time playing this course today, Serlby Park offers something for everyone. The pace of play was good and there were no hold ups throughout the round.
The course was in excellent condition and the greens were fast, Each hold offers a different challenge and gets the best or worst out of your game, The layout and the scenery are also amazing.
The clubhouse is well looked after and the facilities are great, its staff are polite and helpful. I honestly can’t say enough about this lovely little course.
If you get the chance or fancy a change of course, this is well worth a try.
Great condition and a good challenge
A little off the beaten track but definitely worth the travel. Course was immaculate with the greens playing surprisingly quick given the none stop rain for the last 6 months. All holes were open and kept very well. Thr staff were extremely friendly and the regulars/ members were friendly and helpful too. It apparently gets busy at a weekend but playing midweek we didn't have to wait and didn't have anyone close to us either. Definitely will return.
A challenging short course.
We played just 5 days after heavy snowfall and rain. All the greens were in play and in good condition considering how wet it had been.
Fairways were all in play, with remarkably little mud on the ball and practically clean shoes when we finished.
The course is a challenging 9 hole with well placed tees on the back 9 to keep the course interesting.
Overall a very enjoyable round of golf.
Gem
Great course. Played a few times now and i keep going back. Course conditions to say how much rain and frost we’ve had are very impressive. Always a nice relaxing round here.
Chozer
Great course with beautiful surroundings, definitely worth a try. Course has something for every golfer.
Lovely.
A little gem
What a quality little golf course. Some tricky little bunkers and some shared fairways make it a nice challenge. It’s very well maintained and a nice friendly atmosphere.
Surprisingly tatty unfortunately
Having been a big fan of this course in years gone past, I was surprised to find it in tatty, dry and in unusually bad shape. I used to rave about its lush, underused existence but something has changed. Still like the layout although when playing on the back nine we followed two groups of elderly players who were playing random holes in any order they wanted. We eventually got past them but it exacerbates the problem that visitors often have, second nine issues behind members playing whatever way they like. Plus at 32 quid it’s way too expensive for what it’s offering which is a nine hole course with dual tees. Sorry Serlby but just being realistic.
Class 9 hole course.
A well thought out 9 hole course, very well maintained. Quality greens, generally flat lay out that makes a nice change from climbing hilly courses. Made for a very relaxing round. Good use of tees for back 9 holes to keep the course challenging.
