This is a nice little golf centre. I love going down on my way home from work and hitting some balls. The range is excellent and the automatic tees take the hassle out of hitting 120+ balls. The Par 3 course is good, however sometimes you have to queue to start. maybe if they had tee times this would decrease. The course is kept in good condition and is quite challenging to the average player. The pitch and putt on the other side of the entrance drive is short, but well kept. The changing rooms and toilets area are a bit dated and could do with a revamp, but overall suit the needs of those who use the centre. The shop is well stocked and the prices are reasonable for such a small centre. The bar is also OK, I have yet to eat here but have been told the food is of an high standard. Overall I would say this is one of the better smaller centres in the city.

played on a Sunday morning and the lack of set tee-times led to long queues at the 1st tee. There were a lot of sunday hackers on the course, including some small children. We were following a slow five-ball who had no idea of etiquette, and didn't offer us through despite the fact that we were a fairly fast two-ball. Bunkers were left un-raked and pitch marks were not being repaired. Most annoying of all was the loud chatter of people queuing behind while tee-shots were being taken. I would suggest a dress-code including spikes would deter some of the worst elements from the course - an increase in the green fees would perhaps also help. There is also a policy of hiring bags and clubs which also encourages undesirables. This is all a shame because it is a nicely designed 9 hole course kept in a reasonable condition - but it will not attract the semi-serious golfer until these things are sorted out.

This course at riverside offers a wonderful fresh approach; Young people, along with the less able or beginner golfers feel comfortable playing in a relaxed enviroment, much different to the traditional golf club. At riverside there is a far greater chance of finding young members as when playing on the course the experienced golfers are not 'aloof', this attitude is perhaps why some more traitional golf courses are struggling whilst ones like riverside have a steady flow. We shouldnt be detering 'undesireables' through increased green fees, what sort of upper class nonsense is this?
