Perfect winter golf course
When many courses are struggling with drainage and temporary greens, not so at Kingsdown. The course has well groomed fairways and immaculate greens. Played the course 3 times in the last 2 weeks due to my course being closed with drainage problems! There are challenging holes which require course management. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend a visit.
Winter Greens
Arrived at 1pm for a two after booking via Golf Now, went into the Pro Shop gave the money across the counter to be then told the course is on Winter Greens. Ok not a problem at all we thought so carried on to the first tee.
On coming up to the first Winter Green we were totally unimpressed with what we were looking at, the winter Greens were just a hole in the fairway with a flag. No prep at all on the temporary greens, Ball didn’t roll as hoped all greens on all holes where exactly the same. Just looked like the club didn’t even want to bother setting the winter Greens up for paying customers.
Would of been nice if they advertised the course were on Winter Greens as we would of not played there due to the state of the place.
Like a Links course
Excellent course, due to the wonderful weather it played more like a Links course.Very enjoyable, would definitely play again.
Great lay out
Very impressed with the course, conditions of the fairways wasn't great but thats only down to the extreme weather conditions we have been having of late. Will be looking into joining within the next few weeks. Staff very helpful too.
The course was in excellent condiition and provided a good challenge.
