Great test of golf
Hinksey is a real gem of a course in an amazing location. The views of the dreaming spires of Oxford are spectacular from this hilltop location. The course is very well laid out-every hole is interesting, no two holes the same and no “fill-in” holes making up the numbers.
The greens are in great nick at the moment too! Go there and play it, you will not be disappointed.
Perfect day for golf
Great game after the biggest thunderstorm and downpour. Got out 2 hours after our tee time and the course was excellent.grateful to get out as thought we wouldn’t after the rain.
Great view well worth a visit.
Given very wet conditions in March & April the course was generally in good condition albeit with a few boggy patches. Greens very well maintained and staff very friendly. Overall a good experience and good value.
Enjoyable Course
Played at Hinksey for the first time today.
Very much enjoyed the testing course and even with the wet weather the course still played well and maintained.
Biggest downside was the pace of play as we had a 3 ball in front of us that were not aware at all of the extremely slow play.
Course very wet in plqces with standing water not draining away. Made some holes trick to navigate,
Awesome course and views
Lightning fast greens with lots of undulations, fairways nice and firm will be back
Nice course
Nice course, challenging greens and good views over Oxford.
Hinksey Heights
Course was in excellent condition, given the partial frozen ground from the recent weather. It was a bit like playing on a lynx course, very enjoyable, greens were good.
Overall a challenging but nice course to play, with lovely views over the city of Oxford.
Good greens
Played this course, a few times this year, always accommodating, good layout, tough course, highly recommended.
Good to have fairways and greens, leaf free, especially this time of year.
Give it a try.
Accommodated
The golf course was in good condition and the pace of play was perfect.
You can always get on this golf course which is a blessing, to non members of a club.
And the staff cooked the perfect bacon roll.
Greens in excellent condition.
