DINGLE GOLF CLUB A HIDDEN GEM
We spent 3 wonderful days in this most lovely part of Kerry, This course was very fair and in wonderful condition, would suit all handicaps, very friendly staff and the food in the bar was excellent and great value for money
"True links"
Recommended by another golf course operator in Ireland due to it's being what he referred to as "true links." This course is laid out according to what the land offered. Excellent variety of holes on a easy to walk track. May not be as photogenic as other courses, but one not to be missed.
Links lovers should seek out Ceann Sibeal
This is one of the true "lost" links in Ireland. Few Americans make it out to play on the edges of the beautiful Dingle Peninsula. Even if you don't play, it's a spectacular drive just to get here through a rocky mountain pass from Tralee. Ceann Sibeal doesn't have the dunes of the more celebrated links of southwest Ireland - Waterville, Ballybunion, Tralee, etc. It's still got some nice scenery in a peaceful setting of mountains and rolling countryside, punctuated by views of islands out in the bay. It's playable for all handicaps, although tougher than you think. A burn sneaks through several holes so pay close attention. The uphill holes at No. 9 and No. 18 play tough, finishing each nine in style. It's probably closer to a four-star than a three-star but only true links lovers who are looking for something new after having already played the trophy courses will appreciate it best.
