The Craythorne Golf Club was first developed by a local farmer in 1972 as a driving range and this was opened in 1975 as a 9 hole course. This was increased to 18 holes in 1985 but suffered from a lack of capital investment. Eventually the enterprise was sold to Peach Leisure Ltd in 19993 who have transformed the amenities. There has been a new pub/restaurant built along with a conference and hospitality facilities. The course has had major design changes and the floodlit driving range has some interesting features. The enterprise is run as an open leisure pub and has a relaxed feel within the well appointed public area.
Club facilities and amenities include 18 hole, floodlit driving range, practice green, putting green; pitch an putt; bowls green. Conference and function suite. Public and restaurant. Picturesque country environment.

Course Details
Course Name: Craythorne Holes: 18 Yardage: 5450 SSS: 67 |
Parkland course with scenic views of the Trent Valley. Although relatively short in length there are many excellent holes which are a real test. The greens are generally regarded as a fine surface and are consistent in pace. Over 5000 trees have been introduced in the last 5 years and extensive remodelling or bunkers and mounds make this an interesting and tough challenge. The signature hole is the par 5, 14th - 526 yards. The hole is uphill all the way with bunkers strategically placed. For the majority of golfers it is 3 very well struck shots to an elevated green surrounded by bunkers and trees. There are also 3 par threes over 190 yds.
