In 1896 an 18 hole course opened for the first time at this location. It later declined due to the long train journey from Tralee. The present club was founded in 1989. It is a 9 hole links course sited between a fresh water lake, Lough Gill and the sea, Brandon Bay, overlooked by Stradbally Mountain and Beenoskee. A truly spectacular location. The club presently has 300 members. Summer competitions are open to non-members.

Club services and facilities include catering facilities, changing rooms, shower, shop, trolley hire.

Directions
2 miles west of Castlegregory turn right at Stradbally.

Castlegregory is truly a links course set in a spectacular location. The 9 holes consist of 1 par 5, 3 par 3's, and 4 par 4's. a manmade lake on the ninth, breeding ground for the Natterjack Toad, unique to this location, and overflow drain come into play in 4 holes. The are of home to numerous species of wildlife both flora and fauna.
