Jack Nicklaus designed course as 'a thinking man's golf course'. Built to the highest standards, it incorporates several double option holes such as the 7th and 15th where golfers will have to choose which fairway to attack the green from due to the positioning of hazards. Opened in 1993 is a stern but fair test of golf from the back tees and has played host to several Championships including the Cheshire and North Wales Open. Redesigned by Nicklaus Design, now even mere mortals are assured of a thoroughly enjoyable game on this course with its wonderful mix of open parkland, feature bunkers, water, coniferous forest and a sandstone cliff.
