With play dating back to 1797 (some historians suggest 1688), Burntisland Golf House Club is the ninth oldest golf club in the world. The course was first surveyed by Old Tom Morris. Two-time Open champion Willie Park Jr. designed the Dodhead parkland layout in 1896, and James Braid updated it in 1922. The course boasts views of Burntisland, the Firth of Forth, the Forth Bridges, and Edinburgh Castle.
