Tom Morris has described Blairgowrie Golf Club's Rosemount Course as "The most beautiful inland green I have ever seen."
Designed by James Braid with influences from Dr. Alistair McKenzie, the renowned architect of the Augusta National course, Rosemount has played host to a number of prestigious professional and amateur tournaments. The golf course was the scene of a world record 10 consecutive birdies by Lionel Platts in 1973 and also the scene of Greg Norman's first victory on the European Tour in 1977.
The par-72 Rosemount measures almost 6,600 yards from the back medal tees. Starting with a tough par 4 of almost 450 yards, there are many fine holes throughout the golf course, including the par-4 fourth hole, rated as the hardest on the course, and the 165-yard par-3 17th hole, with its tiered green.
Rosemount was voted 11th best golf course to play in Scotland by the readers of Scotland's premier golf magazine.

A pleasant walk in the woods in Perthshire, Scotland
A day after playing sherpa trekking up and down the mountainous Pitlochry Golf Course, strolling along on this 2014 Junior Ryder Cup venue felt like a relaxing walk in the park.
Every hole seems to bend gently left or right but not so much that you can't see the flag. The fairways run wide, although thick rough and tree cover lurks all day. I'm told the longer Landsdowne course plays at least four shots tougher.
The par-3 sixth and par-4 seventh on Rosemount - which were originally borrowed from Lansdowne - are being tinkered with to bring them more in line with the origin of the Alister MacKenzie/James Braid design.
The best comes last at Rosemount. A stream crosses in front of the par-3 17th hole. The finishing hole - named "Mount Blair" - doglegs right to a green peppered by bunkers with the beautiful clubhouse in back.
