Aberfeldy Golf Club

About
Aberfeldy Golf Club was founded in 1895 and was extended to 18 holes in 1993.
The course has great views of the surrounding hills, runs on both sides of the River Tay and has the unique attraction of allowing players to cross the historic river via its own private bridge, which is listed in the Guinness Book of Records.

Traditional course
Played the course during a recent visit. It is a 9-hole course with crossing fairways and no shared greens (unlike the Old course at Saint Andrews). For 122 years old, it is in better shape than many of the courses I play in the U.S. I used rented clubs and didn't worry about score. I focused on getting the opportunity to play on a traditional Scottish course. maybe the next trip, I'll plan better and get a tee time at Carnoustie or St Andrews.
